Artist description
Soulever is a heavy alternative band in the vein of such bands as Staind, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam. We desire to create music that is innovative and passionate, as well as spiritually uplifting. The name "Soulever" is derived from the French verb meaning "to lift up", and reflects the band's desire to present a message of hope and redemption to a world that desperately needs it.
Since then, Caleb's Mountain has fundamentally changed its style and purpose, instead creating music for people outside of the faith community, exhorting them to think about the reality of eternity and the divine. They changed their name to SOULEVER, the French word meaing "lift up", and have changed their style to heavy alternative, which has always been their heart.
August 2003, Soulever released its first demo, titled "First Impression". The demo was engineered by Charles Van Devender of Skylab, recorded with Paul Van de Riet on drums and Dennis Christians on bass, and mixed at Cornerstone Studios. The four songs were recorded and released on August 2, 2003, and you can listen to them on this site, as well as some tracks from the older "Measure of Infinity" CD.
Currently, Soulever is looking to play in the Los Angeles area, and is discussing recording options with various companies. The band is also searching and auditioning talented Christian musicians in the Los Angeles area to join the band full time.
