Artist description WANTED is a band whose five members have united to experiment with and to promote the musical genres of Funk, Rock, and Rhythm and Blues. WANTED's vibrant sets are a fusion of original and cover material that focus on taste, instrumentation, and "danceability."

Artist History WANTED has been in existence for only a short time, but has already made a mark in the local and regional music scene: playing venues such as, Black Eyed Sally’s in Hartford, CT; Hotshots in Newtown, CT; Redding Road House in Redding, CT; Colorado Brewery in Danbury, CT; the Tri-State Pub and Grille in Millerton, NY; Riders in Waterbury, CT; and the Berkshire Blues Café in Lee, MA. In the past year, WANTED has even managed to sneak in a three hour live radio appearance at Eastern Connecticut State University’s WECS.

Group Members Drummer and vocalist Jay Poitras, who has supplied the backbeat for The K-MAN Band, New York Chalk, Blues Cruise, Flashback, the Dan Pitchard Band et. al.. Jay has appeared at venues as diverse as Boston’s Channel, Bristol's Lake Compounce, Asbury Park’s The Stone Pony, and CBGB’s in New York City. Roger Cannevaro, a workaholic who is currently playing with the Kathy Taylor Band, Hot Acoustics, Blues Cruise, and Flashback, as well as WANTED. Rooms such as Toad’ Place, in New Haven, Torrington’s Warner Theater, Pawling’s Towne Crier and Shenanigan’s in Norwalk have had their walls resonating with the sound of Roger’s steady bass. Eric Lundgren, a veteran of the Dan Pichard Blues Band and Flashback. Eric’s vocals, soulful harp, screaming guitar, and driving keyboard have helped to animate the crowds at Shenanigan’s, Riley’s, the Hayloft, and other venues. Mark Devestern, who has worked with Homegrown, Southern Mountain, Beginning, and others. Mark’s spirited guitar licks and tasteful keyboard chops have appealed to audiences; from Toad’s Place -- to the Levitt Pavillion; from Riley’s Red Barn -- to the Great American Music Hall. Last but not least, guitarist and vocalist Marty Carlson. Marty has cut his teeth working with bands like; Battle Axe, the Hellcats, the Dan Pitchard Band, and Blues Cruise to name a few. His vocals, burning lead breaks, and wailing slide guitar have been heard in many area rock and blues clubs including; Toad’s, Riley’s, and CBGB’s. Marty’s experience, in his dual role of owner and chief engineer of Barking Spider Studios, helps to burnish WANTED’s sound.
