Artist description Sun Tzu began its life in London early 2003 Combine the experiences of a diverse group of 4 musicians, with a new style, a new ideal; take grass roots New Zealand post-hardcore, take French emo-core, and throw this into the volatile mix that is modern (rock?). The result is a tight, passionate, crushing wall of melody. Although all four members share certain ascetic musical tastes, the groups' divergent backgrounds in post-hardcore, punk and progressive metal is what shapes the music, pushing it in some unexpected directions. Beyond pure musical expression, Sun Tzu aspires to create art that reflects the beauty and violence of modern life, as both an exaltation and experience to be felt, as well as heard.
