Artist History
Anthology - The Story Behind Angelo
The prolific Architect of Artistry presents himself as a speaker of truth. Using his life experiences as ammunition to seize the opportunities of success. He encourages all walks of life to persevere and find joy in their struggle for a better lifestyle.
Born Michael McGuire, from Compton California by way of Paramount, Angelo started out as a child of music.
Both of his grandmothers were singers. His father's Mother, Jennie-Mae McGuire, was a gospel singer at the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church of Los Angeles. His Grandmother on his mother's side, Bernice Wallace, sang with Johnnie Kelly and the Psytones in the early 1960's.
Angelo's Mother, Sherrill D. Minter sang in the Glee Club at Compton High School where she met his father, Michael McGuire Sr. She was a well known performer and very active in the arts throughout her education.
His father, Pastor Michael McGuire Sr., started playing trombone for the marching band at Compton High School and currently plays several instruments for his church, the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church of Riverside. Pastor McGuire's passion for music and all of the musical influences in this family have inspired Angelo to become the artist he is today.
Angelo has matured as a writer, poet, actor, model, and musician over the course of his ten year pursuit as a performing artist. Angelo's music will captivate the spirits of people needing to hear uplifting messages all across the world. Angelo is simply a branch from the tree of life, deeply rooted in Love and Prosperity.
