Artist History Geoff Burgess has been writing original music and lyrics for over 10 years with a few hundred songs to call his own. His main audience has been the walls in his home and his own ears. In 1999, Geoff entered the recording studio for the first time to record several songs. Since then, he has collaborated with friend Randy Thompson to perform and record a CD as Flashing Murphy, an acoustic duo. More recently, following the passing of his older sister, Geoff explored deeper into his music to find release and understanding. The result is some of his best and most classic music. True to himself, Geoff does not try to overproduce a song. He believes a song's fate is secured the moment it is written, and rarely revisits them once they're put down on paper. Geoff's uncompromised passion for writing and playing his music suggests he'll continue doing so long into the future.
