EngLebuRt is short but strikingly handsome. 5'6" and 130 dapper pounds of pure lounge. He is obsessed with music. Just ask his credit card companies. His first love musically is hip-hop, but then it branches into acid jazz, down tempo, house, funk, soul, and most importantly lounge. He is that dapper fellow by the name of EngLebuRt and he creates the kind of music that makes your ears hurt.

    Artist History
EngLebuRt fka pHiLo has been an emcee since the glory years of the TI-99/4A. His first musical outfit, Universal Grooves, was formed in the dorms at SIUE, then he was Crazee Mic, and his guitarist was Dirtee Johnny. That lasted a week. Hits like 'Clogging up the Crapper' just never caught on with the general public. Next he lost his mind, forgot how to rap, learned how to play the harmonica, and listened to way too much Beck. His man Corey did the guitar work. They were Carefully Out of Place. Then he took some time off and went to Australia to regain his sanity and show kids in Oz how to 'Rock the House'. In Oz he was a one hit wonder with 'The Lion eats the Gazelle'. He came back to the USA and hooked up with a rapcore outfit once known as ninetrigger(Check 'em out on MP3), but became ultramindbreak for the week pHiLo was a member before getting kicked out once the group found out he was obsessed with trying to lick his own nipple. He later hooked up with 3 guys from South County STL and they became soundadvice, the bestest rap-core group that ever existed in the 3 years that rap-core existed. They traveled the globe and were internationally known. Well okay maybe they just travelled the midwest, but they were once featured in HM and on HM's CD and HM is distributed throughout the world. They were once approached by a label, contract and everything. But the label doesn't seem to exist anymore so like Rock sang 'it doesn't matter'. pHiLo did leave the group so they could do the emo-core thing ala Maybe Today(also on MP3) and E-buRt could pursue the perfect cup of cappuccino while managing 3J's(www.3JsCoffeehouse.com). While at 3J's he booked the finest talent in the area, including New Empire, Lyndsay Diaries, nineteen, The Conformists, and Twisted Sister. But then the man came down with an iron fist and 3J's was closed. While at 3J's and in-between bands pHiLo acquired a slew of vinyl from local shelter shops, samplers, kiddie electronic toys, and keyboards. He also met a kid with big holes in his ears and a kid who couldn't play drums. So the kid with big holes in his ears, named Ryan, later monosyllabic mo, later Mo-Vega$, kicked the drummer who couldn't drum out of the band and sold his drum kit and used the money to buy PEZ. Since then he has built a computer he lovingly refers to as Mother II, not to take the place of his mother but rather in homage to the computer system they went psycho in the first Alien flick. His computer processes the sound he constructs in the 'Olive Lounge'. His man Mo-Vega$ brings over the phattie equipment and EngLebuRt goes to work. Eventually all the instrumentals will have pHat bass lines and lyrics and will metamorph itself into 'The Olive Lounge'. So be on the look out you crazee catz!
