Artist History
After a brief stint at Five Towns Music college where he majored in audio engineering Kevin Delaney bounced between a multitude of apartments around NYC Between 1991 and 1994 until finally reaching the Jamaica Music Building in Queens, NY, where artists such as Metallica and Anthrax shared rooms in their humble beginnings. It was in the music building in 1995 that Delaney would start his own record label and production company Manic Records and Manic Entertainment. On March 19, 1996 Manic Records released "Broken Water" by Out've The Box, Delaney's solo project where he did all of the writing, performing and producing himself. Other musicians were brought in only on tour. Out've The Box have since relocated to Los Angeles, CA where Kevin Delaney is also a full time member and co-founder of the Heavy Metal band Kreep.

Press Reviews
Broken Water is the title of the debut record from New York City droning hard rockers Out've The Box. Vocalist/Guitarist Kevin Delaney (the heart and soul of OTB) recorded and produced "Broken Water" at Studio 1212 NYC in Jamaica, Queens while playing all of the instruments himself on the Manic Records release.
Kick starting with the hiss and hum of the leadoff single "Easter's End," before heading into the more melodic but no less bludgeoning "Opium" Delaney showcases his musical chops like Shaggy snags a Scooby Snack. The talented troubadour doesn't let up on any of the album's other nine tracks either as he slams full force into every song from the heavy "Pain Under Tongue", to the dark and dreamy gothic instrumental "Abra-Melin."
Delaney says that "Broken Water" is a diary of the time the artist spent while living in a recently condemned music building in Jamaica, Queens NY. "Living in the music building in NYC meant living within some of the more punishing and less forgiving sides of life's cultural underbelly," says Delaney. ~ Sean Coulter, East Coast Rocker
