Press Reviews
"From the subtle beginning of this set, a new listener would expect a fairly passive evening of mellow music. With a bare stage save for a few pieces if equipment and two people, what could one really expect?Expect more than you think...Christiane's voice is the additional instrument to Tank's programming and playing that makes this duo work. With a great range and excellent control of pitch, there are moments of stunning intensity just from the sound of words being sung. Add to it the well matched programming in this band and you have a unique sound that is a combination of Goth and Etheral... An acquaintance of mine, who is a harsh judge of music due to years of vigorous training, told me that Christiane had a better control of her voice than "that woman on that other CD you played.." The CD in question was Dead Can Dance..."from the October 6 2000 show review, www.darkcell.com. |
