Artist History
Named after the precarious angle at which their rehearsal studio stands, Ten Degree Lean is a band whose sound derrives from the best elements of rock, blues, funk and pop. The band got their start when three long time friends decided to throw some material together to perform at a July 4th party. The crowd response was overwhelming despite the band’s lack of a singer. Fate responded in turn when guitarist Eric Stolze and vocalist Eric Milano met on the job at a world reknown genetic research lab in New York City. The combination of Eric Milano's feverishly emotive vocals, Chris Pickford and Eric Stolze's raucous and complementary riffing, and Bernard Currane's lush grooves results in a creative eruption. This eruption is best witnessed at one of TDL’s intense live shows found at Manhattan clubs like Tramps, Wetlands, and The Elbow Room. Refreshingly unpretentious, lyrically sublime and always drenched in soul, TDL is a band that will make you think, dance and sing all at once.
