Artist History
A classically trained singer, Amy brought Swim together in early '98, seeking another outlet for her musical energies. Mike was an obvious choice to fill the guitar slot, with his long local musical history (including Closet Monster and Simon Sez). Formerly with the fun and funky thrash quartet Carpal Tunnel, Ed came down to SF from the Twin Cities to take over bass duties. Amy's longtime friend Kevin, who fronted Minnesota's Grace Point and played drums for Midwest powerhouse Crash Alley, filled both the percussion and backing vocals slots. Swim released its first CD, "Swim," in June of '99. |
