Artist History
The Stream Of Consciousness began in late 1998 as Karsten Durand, along with Co-Producer & Guitarist Charles Newman completed mixing & mastering Karsten's Debut full length CD. Next came the Collective, a musical unit brought together to perform the CD's 16 songs along with the new KDC material. An evolving group of dynamic, gifted musicians who bring their talents & energy to each live KDC performance. As The KDC moves into Summer 2001 the band begins a new journey as The KDC morphs into "Pisces Kiss"(mp3.com/pisceskiss)... Stay Tuned |

Press Reviews
The Stream Of Consciousness CD includes 5 award winning songs from both 1998 & 1999's Georgia Music Industry Association Song Of The Year competitions including "Circle The Moon", the 1999 Song of the Year 2nd Place winner. Over 230 songs were entered in 1999's competition...The Collective has appeared on WXIA NBC Atlanta's Peachtree Morning TV show, WAGA's Good Day Atlanta, performed at Turner Field, performed in Columbus, Ga's beautiful Springer Opera House, Atlanta's Six Flags Amusement Park, countless clubs & venues in the Atlanta area & is currently performing live dates around the southeast, stay tuned.... Eric Deckers of indiemusic.com wrote the following in regards to "Stream Of Consciousness": "If you like the way Joe Satriani rocks, the intellectual leanings of Living Color, the acid jazzitude of Miles Davis or the the musical complexity of the Dave Matthews Band, you'll love Karsten Durand. Karsten Durand is one of the best kept secrets of indie music, which is unfortunate, because his music is probably some of the most thoughtful, intelligent, and soulful music you'll find. If you ever get tired of the trite, nauseating pop normally heard on Top 40 radio, consider Durand an oasis in the barren desert of commercial music". |
