    Press Reviews
"...And darkness settles across the cold landscape. Frost. Very fitting name. Vocally, Lee Compton reminds me a lot of Carl McCoy of Fields of the Nephilim and The Nefilim. Gruff and deep. Musically, there's a bit of Fields in there, but not too much. Very dark, somber, and droning. But by droning, I do not mean that it is overly repetitive, because that it is not. Very impressive. The lyrics fit the music, dark and depressing, and are quite well written. If you like Goth, especially in the veins of Fields of the Nephilim, you must contact this band and get a copy of this tape. You will not be disappointed." Aethyric productions 12/97 "Frost have a somewhat familiar sound, sounding by their own admission, influenced by gothic sounds from many sources. Don't let this sway yourjudgement though, if you haven't previously been into gothic stuff, becauseFrost can turn a mean tune.the eerie vocals of Lee Compton accompanying the rest of the band to near perfection." hEARd Magazine "Frost resounds with the creepy basslines, dramatic male vocals, and shimmering guitar riffs that one would expect from a gothic band. The difference is, Frost does not sound like what you would expect. The ingredients are all there, but they are arranged in a manner that distinguishes this band from others. Frost is immediate and up-front from one angle, but shift the perspective by a fraction of a degree, and it is probing and deceptive. Lee Compton's voice reverberates with a brooding power, digging to the very soul of the song and articulating its dark fancy. Dexter Burley's basslines bob, bounce, and surge like a bloated sea snake riding the waves of a turbulent ocean, cleverly interacting with Brendon Cook's sparse, strategically-placed guitar work."
