Artist description
EAAI (Electronic Artists for Amnesty International)is a non-profit collective of electronic artists who are publishing a series of compilation CDs to improve human rights and freedoms throughout the world by donating our revenue to the renowned organization Amnesty International (AI). Currently, AI is working on a variety of campaigns that are highly relevent to all of our lives. They are mobilizing action against: 1)the on going occurrences of murder, torture, rape, and forced expulsion that have taken place in the region of Kosovo; 2)the government sponsored repression and murder of human rights activists in East Timor; 3)the continuation of forced labor in Myanmar; 4)child abductions for slave soldiering in Uganda; 5)the repression of political activism and workers' rights in China; 6)the killing of activists in Colombia; 7)social, economic, and environmental displacement caused by multi-national corporations throughout the globe; 8)and the institution of the death penalty that exists in many countries. By purchasing our compilation CDs you will be making a valuable donation to AI and, in turn, helping the cause to improve the human condition throughout the world. Each CD consists of various styles of elctronica including Techno, Trance, Drum n' Bass, Electro, and Industrial. Above all, the songs on these compilations reflect some of the greatest and grooviest work of all of the involved artists. Fifty percent of the revenue that is generated is immediately forwarded to Amnesty International. The remainder of the earnings are allocated to our host web site, MP3.com, to compensate for production costs and overhead. In other words, if you purchase one of our CDs, then $5.00 is automatically donated to AI. Thankyou for your support |
