Artist History
The band 7stones originated in Austin Texas in 1996.Since that time they have become one if the hottest rising bands on the Austin music scene. 7stones released their first album "Beyond the Now" in late 1996 and proceeded to sell all initially printed copies by early 1997. The singles "7:13" and "Tunnel Rat" are still spun on KLBJ 93.7 Fm in Austin. The success of their first effort led to an even more successfull sophmore release "Blue Chemicals." This cd engineered by Jim Wilson (Pixies, the Artist,Oasis)has seen tracks "Restraint" and "Woman" enjoy a good deal of success on college radio in the South, Midwest, and East Coast. And things just keep getting better. In May of 1999 KLBJ released "Local Licks Live 98"featuring 9 of Austin's most influencial bands including Fastball,Pushmonkey, and 7stones.After a tour to support their college airplay the band is currently working on a new cd in Seattle,WA. |

"Austin's 7stones hammer out post-Soundgarden hard rock like KLBJ quarrymen...building, bashing hard rock with enough soul to counterbalance the well woven guitar interplay." |
