Artist History And rightly so, for that vibe typically reflects Creamy’s owner Certa who is intrinsically involved in all creative aspects of the business. The former sound engineer for a variety of theatrical and special event productions in Europe from Shakespeare’s "As You Like It" to innovative productions at the world-renowned Festival d’Avignon, Certa is well-versed in and passionate about the impact of sound on the listener. "I decided to become a sound-engineer at first just to work in the domain of music. I found it extremely rewarding. It was a good transition for me from my days as a DJ on the club scene. And now the label is a natural and perfect off-shoot of these two passions," he explains. The intense 29 year-old actually began working with friends producing Villa Du Pre as a labor of love. "I took my time in creating it, polishing it, working on it during time in between tours. It reflects a variety of my influences from the Hammond Organ I grew up playing as well as the drums and tons and tons of vinyl from the Beatles to Progressive music like Gong, Tangerine Dream to psychedelic rock, funk, soul, ‘80’s house and more." He adds, "Basically what sets this album and Creamy apart from a lot of what’s out there now is the color of the sound. We work on older equipment because I wanted that raw essence. So that, mixed with my musical culture and team has truly given birth to something unique. You’ll see…."
