Artist History
i basically started playing two years ago. my cousin lent me an acoustic he doesn't use much. the minute i knew what i was doing, i started playing what i do now. only then, it sucked. i dumped my teacher, then i began playing what would eventually turn out to be Reflections of a Smile. then i got a fuzz pedal for christmas. i opened my high school talent show, sucked, but the fact i wasn't dead last gave me confidence. this guy ryan stopped me backstage during clean up and congratulated me: "i liked your song actually. it was so raw..." for english extra credit, i was allowed to turn in a video tape of some songs i wrote. that was an interesting experience.... i thank my dearest jahni for reminding me i needed to find my voice. good, bad... either way i got extra credit. then i met promise falls. i've only missed like two of their shows since i've seen them i think in march of 2003. (I love you ricky!) they're so powerful on stage. they've got this incredible focus. they're on mp3.com too, but recordings can't come close to how great these boys are. they're to me as the melvins were to nirvana. what i want more than anything right now is to get my band together and play with them. someday, i'll have that band. i'll call that band ALICE. |
