Artist History Xanda were originally formed about a year ago. Going through a few different line-up's and still looking for that perfect line-up, Xanda needed the best musician's to perform infront of the crowd's at venue's such as The @rena (Middlesbrough) and Middlesbrough Town Hall CRYPT. The solution came in June 2003, when both band's "Xanda" and "The Phoolz" merged to make what we feel is the best of both. The finishing line-up consisted of Stephen Welsh (Guitar/Vocal's), Jack Jahan (Bass) and Phil Metcalfe (Drum's). Keeping the name name "XANDA", Thomas Russell (Guitar) joined the 3 remaining member's of "XANDA" to record a demo the following week. Xanda are now one of the youngest band's in the area to record a demo, and to come second in a Battle Of The Band's FINAL and play two (soon to be three) time's at Middlesbrough Town Hall CRYPT with band's such as 4ft Finger's, Mr. Zippy, Tuuli and Gash. The band are now more stronger and energetic than ever.
