Artist History Thunderous beats combined with thick guitar and bass sounds create this melodic group. The group keeps their music to one genre...the good one. Their music is thick and meaningful. Most people will be able to relate to the lyrics supplied by Chris and Tyler. The group is not out to change your mind or your views. The lyrics are merely real...no stories here. Open Deadline was formed in May of 2003 when Chris Deutscher (guitar/backing vocals) and Tyler Seib (bass/lead vocals) realized that they needed to start a band again. After the members of their former band named Downfall went their separate ways, the search for a new drummer began. After months of searching they were tipped off by a certain member of a well known music store. He referred them to one of his close friends, Dylan Hughes. After getting in touch with Dylan, the band had their first session together. At first they were unsure of what the outcome would be due to different musical tastes. Dylan had recently played in a well know punk "band" known as Out of Angst. The three continued to work at it and have pulled together to become Open Deadline. Their recent performance at RockFest proved that they are better than expected for a young band. Their music is ahead of their time...for now.
