Artist History FoxTroT In the times we all teens and youngsters dream about getting into the music world, we start dominating an instrument or we simply start singing. And this was not the exception for FRANCOIS who would start playing the guitar later realizing it was the bass with what he’d transmit his musical talent the best way; With this starting he influenced his brother XAVIER who amazed everyone with his musical talent and capability to dominate any instrument in his early age… and guitar was the ultimate proof of that potential. When their generation continued growing up, both brothers realized it was music was their real passion and what they wanted to continue doing for the rest of their lives; with this they began forming a group to show the public their ability and their love for music in a very original and personal way. The first band was composed by Francois in the bass, Xavier in the guitar, Ray in the vocals and accompaniment guitar and Leonardo in the Battery; with this group formation they recorded two singles: ‘The Mirror’ and ‘Becoming a God’ with which they competed in the Billboard. Months later, Leonardo decided to quit the band because he had different goals in life so the band started searching for a new drummer –place wish would be occasionally taken by Ricardo Salcedo. In 1999, in León, Guanajuato México, FoxtroT was born, surprising those who listened to them as an English Hard Rock proposal and an image barely manager in actual groups in México; their lyrics based in Ray Torres inspiration, the impressive Xavier riffs, Francois musical arrangements, Ricardo’s rhythmic touch in the battery and Edgar Yared’s peculiar voice With this –Foxtrot’s second formation- they recorded five singles: ‘Becoming a God’, ‘One Last Look’, ‘My Best Friend is Gone’, ‘Confess’ and ‘Too Proud’. In this period, FoxtroT presented in several events and forums in which public accepted them and instantly assimilated and liked the new songs. In the last days of April 2003, FoxtroT has entered the studio to make another three demos that pretty much sound professional, and they’ve added totally harmonic stiles. Ricardo was in the battery, Xavier in the guitar, François in the bass and Ray’s voice was in one of the themes, and in the other two was Xavier. These themes are: ‘Don’t let her go’, ‘Redemption’ and ‘Memories’.
