Artist description
Wartext is best described as Avantgrind. We have a lot of influences from grindcore and crust bands, lots of old Swedish bands, as well as a lot of unique song structures and abstract lyrics. We don't really sound like any other bands, although our style is firmly planted in grindcore territory. |

Artist History
Wartext was formed in the Summer of 2002 as a solo project of Wayne. In early 2003, Chris was added as the guitarist, and Wayne took over on drums which replaced the drum machine. In mid 2003 we released our 'Removal of the Skin' demo which contains 11 songs written by the band and 4 old rehearsal songs done by Wayne when it was a solo project. Check the Wartext website for more info on how to buy a CD and a shirt. |
