Artist description
Currently working on a much anticipated studio recording, to be completed by December2003/January2004, Four Star Union continues to build a solid fan base through their explosive shows and their website. Through the site and email list, fans are kept up to date with current news, and informed of upcoming shows. While developing a following in the Houston music scene, Four Star Union has had the opportunity of playing with small national touring bands such as Embodyment, Kissing Chaos, and The Start.
The songs of Four Star Union are upfront and honest. The attempt to deal with the spectrum of daily emotions people battle with every day. Each member of the band contributes to the musical writing process and draw on their range of influences from Project 86, Blindside and Deftones to Further Seems Forever, Thursday and Stavesacre. Fred, who writes all the bands lyrical content, strives to maintain a level of honesty in the music that anyone can connect with. “I wake up in the middle of everything / Is this where you want to go / Show me the place I used to know” he reflects in Fallout,
and confesses in the song Uncover, "Too many times I feel so wasted with all the lies that cover me / Uncover me from the walls that are closing in." The songs are permeated with a sense of surrender to a higher purpose. In the song Uncover the lyrics concede, "Here I am once again on my knees where you found me," and the song My Place professes "I can't resist you. Take me away / My place is with you." They hope their honesty is evident to fans & listeners not only on the stage, but off of it as well.

Artist History
They won first Prize in a talent show. That was the beginnings of Four Star Union in 1998. With no name, and after endless practices with endless ideas, they began playing their brand of rock. Four Star Union hails from the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream, Brenham, Texas. The band approaches the personal realities affecting our daily walk in life through their music. Ask someone to describe their music and you’ll never get a straight answer. In other words: original. The best description so far is an intensely modern melodic rock, centered on pounding rhythms and lead singer Fred Brumwell's vocals.
Close friends since high school, Fred, guitarist Duane Eaves, and bassist Eric Guajardo formed Four Star Union while they were involved in other musical projects. After utterly defeating everyone in the talent show at the local junior college, they took their state of affairs more seriously and began playing more gigs under their original and former name Fed by Ravens. After parting ways, between 2000 and 2001, they later reunited. In early 2003, after adding Marcos Guajardo at drums and Isac Guajardo at guitar, they officially changed their name to Four Star Union, and committed to make the band a full-time endeavor.
