Artist description Tapered Edges are the latest original 5 piece rock/pop outfit to come out of Sydney. With no time to waste these youngsters have already had commercial radio and prime time television success featuring on MMM’s Austereo Network, taking out the audience vote on the Nine Network’s Star Struck and playing live on SBS’ Corroboree 2000. With their catchy rock tunes and driving new EP Tapered Edges are on the move. Their strength is their live performance, having built a strong local following shared the stage with the like of Killing Heidi, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Mental as Anything, Jimmy Little and Tim Finn. This live show has seen them added to the books of Australia’s largest booking agency, The Harbour Agency. The band’s debut EP was recorded at the legendary Mangrove studios and features the production of David Nicholas, (George - ARIA #1 Album, Brian Adams, Sting & Rod Stewart - US #1 Single & Pulp - UK #1 Album). “Forever is Something New”, the first single from the EP, is already receiving positive listen response via Triple M’s “The Local” (Tapered Edges are their “Launch Pad” band for August 2003) together with MCM Entertainment’s “Planet Rock” program.
