Artist description
What started out as a High School joke has now evolved into "some of the greatest music of this era", say critics. Who is this groundbreaking band, you ask? FRANPLE, an acronym for Flying Robotic Anorexic Naked Pregant Lesbian Evolution. But, please, don't let the name fool you. Under the wacky band name and goofy, offensive, and just plain wrong song titles, lies an abundance of talent. |

Artist History
Franple started in early to mid-2002, in an art class, believe it or not. Randall Parker and Patrick Waters, sitting side- by-side in one of the worst art classes you'll ever have, came up with an idea for a band. Things were simple in the beginning, Randall on bass (all he owned at the time) and Pat, because he had given away his hand-me-down drum set, would "play" (fancy word for bash on) pots and pans. Humble beginnings, to say the least. Throughout various band ideas, staging shows in their heads to see how it would play out, and various stage gimmicks (including hanging from the ceiling), the Franple Project evolved little by little. The very first "song", although disputed, was "Intro" (the scary one) featured on 2003's The Mourning After. |

Press Reviews
"When the Parker / Waters team dropped The Mourning After on the world, it stopped. "Many people call this our best album to date... When you see whats coming, the people wont know what hit them..." The pair stated in a 2003 interview. From the never-ending madness of "The Ballad Of Forever" to the real guitar making its first appearance in "You're Not Even British", to the humble qualities of "Pop Those Pills" all the way to the relaxing beat of "I Love You Like A Milkshake", The Mourning After had it all, what more could there be? ...Who could have thought how little we know" |
