Artist History
The Hoodoogang, a hoodooed biography.
“But I hold up my hand,
Lord, I’m trying make her understand
Lord, you know, uh, everybody they tell me
Somebody done hoodooed the hoodoo man” (Junior Wells)
These four boogie chillums woke up one morning in summer two thousand and two. Went down to the crossroads, somewhere up Louvain town. Fell down on their knees. Cried the Lord above for music and, damn right, there the blues they found. Now they’re rambling on their minds, drinking muddy waters, rolling and tumbling, and smoking dynamite too. So, don’t mess with the kids,’ cause they’ve got their mojos working and they’ll play the blues for you. They’re gonna make pretty women jump and shout. And the world’s gonna know what their blues is all about. So, if you ain’t superstitious come and hear them wail. All your musical love will not be in vain. ‘Cause they’re the Hoodoogang and everybody knows they’re here.
If you ain’t understood this story, damn man, you ain’t got the blues.

Group Members
The hoodoo masters are:
El Grande: Big shouters may also come from Limburgsiana, a Belgian reflection from the land of the blues. Could the souls of Jimmy Rushing and Muddy Waters share the body of a Limburger? The musical itinerary of El Grande included such stadiums as Highway 49, Blue Buck or The Blues Teasers.
Fernando Neris: Might the water stream of the Mississippi river have arrived to the south coast of Spain? If so, this man drank it before sitting down on his rocking chair to play the blues on his guitar. After leading The Hoochie Coochie Men in Malaga, he went up the line till Louvain to heal our souls with his Strato axe and his slide.
Geert Zonderman: Cold-blooded Gette knows all the tricks on his bass. Let him groove and walk and swing on his five-stringed soul mate. He gave diabolic rhythmical support to The Mark Marshal Band, among other fortunate combos.
Zen Fannoy: He’s the kindhearted drummer that’s gonna play anything in the world for you. Feel the spell of his shuffling, funky smelling, soul stewed drumsticks. The Mark Marshal Band took advantage of his paranoid rhythmical timing for a profitable long period.
