Press Reviews
From an IRB review of "A Blind Cat":
"Can anyone say Robyn Hitchcock? [The] fractured
chords and enigmatic lyrics recall the ex-Soft
Boys solo work. The tension in the track is built
up nicely... This track works poetically...
[The] images are interesting... [The] recording is
good and the guitar in particular is well recorded as well as an
excellent part. [The] nursery rhyme figure is
great. [The] vocal has a striking character as
well as good intonation and rhythmic accuracy.
Although the playing is for the most part
understated, it is very appropriate for the
mood... the guitar shines in the choice of chords
and execution and sound. [The] downchild persona
is fairly well elucidated... overall artistic
intent is listen-worthy..." |
