Artist History
The whole story of the progressive metal band
Zonaria began in Umeå (a city in the north of
Sweden) sometime during the year of 2001.
It was founded under the name of "Seal Precious"
by the 13 year old guitar player Simon Berglund.
The bass player Christoffer Vikström and the
vocalist Mikael Hammarberg quickly joined him
when they heard about the band idea. After a
while, having difficulties playing different
metal covers, they realized that they needed
a drummer. Soon afterwards a local drummer
named Claes-Göran Nydahl joined them.
At that point they started to play different
metal covers, such as Breaking the law,
Only For The Weak, Unholy void, Metal heart
and Glory to the brave. After some months of
practicing in school, they sat their feet in
their new rehersal room for the first time.
It was a quite small room, but it had all the
instruments needed. After a pretty long time
of practicing, a new guitar player joined the
band in february 2003. It was Emil Nyström.
They later played some gigs in Umeå to get
publicity. In July the same year, Karl Flodin
joined on keyboards. Then Claes and Cristoffer left the band.
Soon they will release their first DEMO " Illusionary Games".. |
