Artist History
BAD HABIT was formed in the summer of 2002 by Anthony, Scott, and U-Gene under the name The TRENDKILL. The band started as a pop punk quintet, but that was not the style of music that Anthony and U-Gene wanted to play. So they left the band, and found drummer Mike. The trio, along with occassional sax by Smallwood formed a more hardcore punk band, mirroring the styles of Pennywise, The Casualties, and the Misfits. After a while, the all out aggression got pretty monotonys. At about the same time, they asked Scott to come back to the fold. They continued with much of their old songs, putting better melodies and such to them. Along with the re-joining of Scott came the departure of Smallwood, and more songs. The band has fuised pop punk, street punk, classic punk, along with hardcore and bits of metal that pleases all the guys in the band. In April of 2003, Mike left the band for personal reasons. U-Gene wasted little time in calling Logan. Soon after Logan joined the band, they went in to record their first album "REAL BULLSHIT" for SFL RECORDS. Right after they left the studio, they recieved an email which forced them to change their name. It was Logan's suggestion to use BAD HABIT. now with a new name, drummer and album, BAD HABIT is on a mission to win over the people of OHIO, along with whoever else may step in thier path. |
