Artist History
Kirsten has been singing practically all of her life. A hyperimaginative redhead standing at a statuesque 5'11", has studied various types of music from pop music trends to trip-hop to industrial to teenybop from a very young age. And she likes it all.
"Admittedly, I listen to a variety of music, but I think it all balances out evenly when me and Katie [Turner, producer] hit the studio," Kirsten says. She makes the comment, "Yah, but who wants labels? Labels are only made so radio programmers know where to put someone's music. I LIKE sampled beats and I like guitars - so why the frag NOT put them together? Shouldn't music be FUN and NOT pander to the masses? Since when did 'pop' become a vulgar word?" she asks in rapid succession.
From the darkwave-inspired downtempo noise of "Paranoia," the techno-meets-synthpop touch of "JuneĜ3" to the Orbital-esque dark house of "Bimbo," Blame & producer Katie Turner create sounds to make your booty shake and vibes that make you ponder the Fates. |
