Artist History
Julius Campbell started out in the late 1980's with the band Omega Final which enjoyed local fame in the area of Starkville, Mississippi. His role in that band began as a bari sax player in an instrumental group that performed popular cover tunes. As the bands focus shifted to performing original music with vocals, Julius' role evolved as well. It was at that time that Julius began to develop as a sonwriter, keyboardist, and vocalist.
In the early 1990's, Julius became part of a male vocal group known as the G Men. The group enjoyed local notariety on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas. In addition to his voice, Julius contributed his a'capella vocal harmony arranging skills to the group.
Finally, the present time finds Julius perfoming solo. Julius performs all aspects of the music he creates from songwriting, instruments, lead and background vocals, as well as production. |
