Artist description
Deviant: (adj.) differing from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society.
Deviant is one of the newest up and coming industrial bands out of Denver, CO. Formed in 2002, Deviant is best described as "hard dance-industrial with heavy guitars" and "infectious cyber-rock with a tinge of trip-hop". Deviant is a hybrid of the synthetic and the organic; where allusive lyrics affixed with deep emotive prominence bind with tragic melodies to form music that is both haunting and meaningful. |

Artist History
All three members have had modest success in their previous endeavors, having produced records and CD's that have received club play as well as performed live. Deviant is a culmination of all of the members past experience, and so far has proven to be the most rewarding project for the band members.
Deviant spent most of 2002 writing their first round of songs, and started performing their first live shows in 2003.
Deviant has gone on to playing bigger venues for larger crowds. Currently, Deviant has shows booked at such Colorado venues as the Bluebird Theater and the Gothic Theater, both of which regularly have national acts booked. They are also getting weekly club play at underground clubs nationally and were showcased at the 2003 Colorado Dark Arts Festival and the 2003 Utah Dark Arts Festival. |
