Artist History
Founded in 1988, The Dark Theatre has released 3 albums as well as being included on numerous compilation CDs worldwide. TDT has also been featured in various magazines (THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, AXCESS MAGAZINE, USA TODAY, REFLEX, NEWSWEEK, CMJ, OPTION, CHICAGO SUN TIMES and TRIBUNE, INDEPENDENT MUSIC NETWORK, ZONE MAGAZINE, SYDNEY SUN HERALD, DELIRIUM MAGAZINE, ILLINOIS ENTERTAINER, PIONEER PRESS, GHASTLY MAGAZINE, THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, DRACULINA, SHIVERS MAGAZINE, SCREAM QUEENS ILLUSTRATED, WIZARD, FAN, VIDEO WATCHDOG, CINEFANTASTIQUE,MONSTER SCENE , FANGORIA) books (THE HEX FILES-THE GOTH BIBLE by rock critic Mick Mercer; THE VAMPIRE BOOK by Gordon Melton; SOMETHING IN THE BLOOD by Jeff Guinn) and comic books (CATWOMAN, the DC comics series; VAMPFIRE by Brainstorm Comics; Fantaco Publications NIGHT'S CHILDREN; SLICE GIRLS by Midnight Comics), and appeared on dozens of television shows (TALK SOUP; ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT; SIGHTINGS; CNN's TALK BACK LIVE; GOOD MORNING AMERICA; SCI-FI BUZZ) all over the world. THE DARK THEATRE's touring schedule has showcased it's talents at such notable venues as CBGBs and LIMELIGHT in NY; the CABARET METRO and CHINA CLUB in Chicago; the BURTON COLISEUM in Louisiana; the MAJESTIC THEATER in Detroit; the CHILLER THEATRE horror con in New Jersey and the world's largest convention honoring Stoker's classic novel, DRACULA '97, in Los Angeles. TDT has also travelled abroad as headliners of THEE DRACULA CENTENARY , the English centennial celebration of Stoker's acclaimed Count, and at many other venues including London's famous HIPPODROME. Two songs were produced as videos from TDT's debut CD, MATTERS OF LIFE AND UNDEATH . Both were created by Elena Maganini, editor for the films HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER and Scorcese's MADDOG AND GLORY.*NOTE- These are all partial lists. |

Group Members
The project was conceived by multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer Vlad, who was classically trained as a child. He not only composes, arranges and produces the music and stage show, but is also lead vocalist and plays most of the instruments on TDT's recordings. Backed live by some of the best musicians in the industry, TDT presents a show not to be missed. |
