Artist History
Scaythe started off as a solo project in 1998, I worked with alot of shitty programs like Mixman and Acid. Eventually I learned something about recording and started working, with a little goth keyboardist, on a proper album. However, I got sick of the whiney little goth keyboardist and started to work with a guitarist. He was the best musician I've ever worked with and I still respect him to this day, we just never get a chance to jam anymore. Anyways, we played some shows and got royally fucked by a few people in the local gothic community. I don't feel as though the goth/industrial scene is bad, I just think several people in it are very stupid. So, while some self-importent musicians were spreading rumors and shit, Scaythe took a well deserved hiatus. But, despite recent career changes, I am first and foremost a musician and I couldn't drop Scaythe. Henceforth, Scaythe reformed in 2002 as a solo project. |
