Artist History
Formed in January of '99, ninefall has come a long way in a short amount of time. The Kearney area band made up of Brian Swanson (bass), Nate Christensen (drums), J.D. McClary (guitar), and Chad Biggs (guitar and vocals), played their first show April 10 of '99, and have been playing steady ever since. The groups self-titled debut cd (which was recorded in July and released in late September of '99), showcases the band's heavy with a melody style that has been going over great in the area. The band is influenced by acts ranging from Godsmack and Sevendust to Coal Chamber. And like those acts, they use low tuning to achieve that heavy sound. While many bands these days playfor the money or popularity, ninefall plays for the true love of music and performing live. "We've had great reactions in the area and we are very appreciative of the great crowds we've played for.We just want to continue to make music for our fans and fans of heavy music." In October of 2000 Josh Waggoner replaced Nate on drums. Josh and ninefall parted ways in February of 2001 and in March of 2001 ninefall lost another member, original guitarist J.D. McClary to personal reasons. ninefall quickly recruited ex-Purge members Eric Lauer and Matt Eigenberg to fill the empty spaces in the lineup. And so the story continues on..... |
