Artist History Naren Rauch has been playing the guitar for about ten years. Originally from Los Angeles, Naren Rauch brings to the surface a varied mixture of sounds and styles. Narendeveloped out of a foundation in jazz, and in 1995 he played at the Monterey Jazz Festival. He has continued to play in all styles of guitar,studying classical, jazz, and blues as well as funk/rock at the Manhattan School of Music. Graduating in May '99, Naren has kept busy with various projects and bands including Laptop(Universal/Island records), Filo, Lila, Piltdown Man. Naren also has his own jazz groups that plays out in New York. In keeping with the pluralist outlook, Naren searches for new ways to combine variousstyles and sounds in order to create something new. As Naren likes to say,"Dirt is in the eye of the beholder."
