Artist History
Javier Romero and Alex Rose had been next-door neighbors since grade school -- but a dispute over the Nintendo left one of them storming back to his home on the other side of the fence, vowing revenge. Fast-forward to about mid-way through high school when they form a rock band when each learned that the other played guitar and happened to own the same kind of guitar and amp (different colors, of course). They recorded their first record, "Sorry It's Been So Long," as a two piece during breaks from school when they were living far apart. In Summer of 2001 they have added two new members and are scheduling a tour of the west coast and southwest. They will also play extensively in their home state of New Mexico and begin recording their next album. |

Press Reviews
"Romero and Rose are lucky not only in their friendship, but also in their musical melding: they harmonize fantastically. Not many current indie pop bands are that great at harmony ... This EP promises a bright future." - Splendid E-zine. “This is a great mid-nineties pop album finally come out today.” - Lost at Sea Online Magazine. "[Mistletoe] have managed to craft a handful of disarmingly sweet and honest pop songs that listeners can relate to and are oddly touching." - The Daily Lobo. "Dreamy pop songs full of nostalgic yearning ... evocative and bittersweet ..." - Listen.com " ... And thankfully their music, which they describe as "bedroom pop" (it was recorded on home equipment in various bedrooms), is better than Weezer. This seven-song EP is full of melodic rock. - Pasatiempo. |
