Artist description
Michal Brody is a Native Chicagoan, hippie dyke, storyteller, cab driver, writer of songs, dishwasher, housepainter, street crew worker, drawer of pictures, post office clerk, calendar maker, printer, photoengraver, ESL teacher, Cannonball messenger, teacher of college rhetoric, now a student of Yucatec Maya, working on a Ph.D. in linguistics in Austin, Texas; still a hippie dyke, older, the comics are still the best part. I wrote the Old Woman Song in 1973, and everything in it is still true, except I rarely aspire to be a lawn mower. |
