Artist History Like many in their generation, the MOU grew up listening to rap music. All the while, they continued to discover what exactly went into the songs that shaped their young lives and played a soundtrack for their youth. As young adults, the three began to contemplate the characteristics of good rap. Soon they decided: Why not us? Starting as a hobby in General J.O.'s bedroom, for fun and laughs, the MOU began to recognize potential in their freestyles and they decided to put together a record. Following these impulses, the MOU attempted to create a fresh, unique style in the expanding world of rap music; throughout the process attempting to create lyrics of positive self-awareness, occasionally offering insight into the music and the society that continues to encompass and mold their lives.

Group Members K-Lo, 23: Full-time journalism student at San Francisco State University. K-Lo's influences range the spectrum from Blink 182 and Dean Martin to Black Eyed Peas ------------------------- M.C. Kinesis, 22: Graduated in December, 1999 from U.C. Berkeley, where he was a first-team All-American rugby player, with degrees in mechanical and nuclear engineering. Currently employed as a technical writer for a large software company in San Francisco, Kinesis longs for a career a far away from engineering as possible. ------ General J.O., 22: Student at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. J.O. jumpstarted the MOU's rap career with the impulse purchase of two turntables in May,1999.
