Artist description
Amy "Littlebird" Nuara is a passionate performer, an accomplished musician, and a gifted singer. But it's her songwriting - finely etched lyrics brought to life with a diverse musical palette of conga rhythms, Irish folk melodies, gospel-style vocal vamping, acoustic folk guitar delicacies, even classic rock cliches - that will keep you coming back for more. Her full-length CD debut Angels Wait is drawing listeners in across the country. She can also be heard on the Rose Street House of Music compilation, Rose Street Raw. See her live if you can-- Tour schedule at littlebirdband.com. |

Artist History
h'amy started out playing open mics in Providence, R.I., under the guidance of a local Irish singer-songwriter by the name of John Corcoran, who first encouraged her to sing into the mic instead of into her guitar. Upon moving to San Francisco, h'amy continued to write and play out with various other musicians, forming a band called "Spot" which played a number of SF clubs, as well as doing solo shows and other band configurations. Presently, h'amy is playing clubs, cafes, farmers' markets and train stations as "littlebird." |

Press Reviews
"emotive songs with just electric guitar and voice that charm. No contrived sense of passion or desperation here; this is genuine melancholia on par with such artists as Lori Carson and Sara McLachlan." --Listen.com |
