Artist History The seeds of Laurie McDonalds’ musical career were planted in the elementary school chorus and fully blossomed in high school to the surprise of her family. Surprise gave way to amazement as Laurie began composing for the piano, an instrument in which she is self taught. Her beautifully inspired compositions have led to contracts for unique and original work in the entertainment industry as well as academia. An artist on the BillBoard Talent Net, Laurie has enjoyed several stints in the top-ten. As a runner-up in the first ‘Unheard’ contest for unsigned musicians sponsored by CMJ and CDNow, Laurie’s work appears on the compilation CD, "Unheard.01. With a fan base in Hamilton, Ontario and Nove Scotia, Laurie makes frequent trips over the border and further pushes her Celtic roots.
