Artist History
Formed in 1991 Kill Switch...Klick started as a solo recording project of d.A. Sebasstian. Later Mike Ditmore joined as drummer/ percussionist and they started playing around the Seattle area. Various backing members came and went but the core of the band stayed d.A. & Mike. In 1994 they signed with Cleopatra Records and in 1995 released their first full length CD- Beat It To Fit, Paint It To Match which recieved international press and radio/ clubairplay. In late 1995 they released Oddities & Versions a remix album. In 1997 came deGENRATE, a highly acclaimed post-industrial style album. In 1997 Kill Switch...Klick also toured the U.S. ending up in NYC. Prior to the tour Mike Ditmore had left the band. Later that year came the last album released on Cleopatra Records, ALT. This disc featured remixes of songs from deGENERATE as well as all new material. Late in 1998 d.A. started his own label IREGULAR RECORDSand released the latest Kill Switch...klick album Organica. |

Press Reviews
The convention busting instrumentation makes Organica a surprisingly flirtatious, personality-driven album. Just listen to "5 Hotwheels In My Box," which rhythmically alters a sample of a child blurting "five!" and juxtaposes the soundbite with the bleating of bagpipes. Organica is a testament to the ingenuity of sebasstian as well as to the viability of acoustic instruments in making great dance records.- Cheryl Botchick, CMJ reviews. |
