Artist description
Dr. Zaius blends tight rhythm, melodic horns, and deep, soothing female vocals to create a ska sound that meshes the funk, punk, soul, and reggae backgrounds of it's members. Songs range from the poppy to the highly Carribean, to the soulful, and every once and a while to the punkish. We're not your typical third wave ska band. |

Artist History
Dr. Zaius was formed by Georgetown University freshmen in 1998 by kids who got bored with school real fast. After going through a periodcharacterized by the inability to hold onto either a singer or a saxaphonist, Dr. Zaius has finally secured it's lineup and moved off campus to the DC scene. Who knows what the future holds beyond that? |
