Brian_and_Chris make music that is based on rock (or indie rock or whatever you prefer to call it.) This effort combines the guitar trickery of Polvo and Pell Mell, the sideways dub of Tortoise and Ui, and elements of electronic percussion and noise that might emanate from your fax machine. |

Artist History
Brian and Chris met in Chapel Hill, NC and now live in San Francisco. Brian has played in a couple of different bands in the past, including Tractor Hips. Brian also contributed to a record with Dave Brylawski of Polvo and Chuck Johnson of Spatula that will be released on the Communion Label later this year. Back in Chapel Hill, Chris was in a band called Joby's Opinion; in the Bay Area, Chris has played with Tim Mooney from American Music Club, and folks from the Mills College improv scene like Matt Ingalls, John Ingle, Mr. Meridies, and Ann Dentel. He also engineers recordings, including the ones on this cd, and assisted on the last Out in Worship record (featuring Joe Goldring and Doug Scharin). Now Brian and Chris have recruited two other musicians from the Bay Area to perform this music in a live setting and to contiue writing new music. |
