Artist History Andrej Grafenauer (1958) finished his primary and secondary music school at professor Tomaž Šegula. He continued his study on the Academy of Music in Graz, where he graduated in the class of professor Marga Bäuml-.Klasinc. Hr perfected his knowledge under Abel Carlevaro, the famous guitar- player from Uruguay. He is intensivily devoted to his pedagogical work as a university teacher for a guitar on the Academy of Music in Ljubljana where he also introduced the high-school programme for this instrument.Andrej Grafenauer performs regulary in solo recitals and in various chamber casts: in guitar and cello or flute duets, in guitar, violin and cello trio and with string quartet. His concerts are always warmly accepted by the audience and the professional critics. He also issued many soundtracs, among them two compact discs with works of slovenian composers, many of wich he performed for the first time. In year 2000 Andrej Grafenauer was the only winner of the most important Slovenian music prize, named Betetto prize.
