Artist History
Formed in 1984 by former Megadeth guitarist Greg Handevidt
and axeman Kevin Idso, Kublai Khan burst onto the speed
metal scene like an attacking dragon. Annihilation, originally
released in 1987, met with rave reviews. The band became
legendary for their crushing live shows, in which the
true nature of this outfit could be experienced. After several
years pursuing other professional endeavors, Greg and Kevin have
re-forged the metal that made Kublai Khan the toughest conquerors
on the proverbial block. |

Press Reviews
"...I love this album, when you hear this album you might wonder if Greg Handevidt was the brain behind old Megadeth, the riffing in the song "Mongrel Horde" are [sic] very Megadeth-ish. If you find this album you are a very lucky guy."

Kill (Fanzine)
"...This band features a former Megadeth guitarist. Metal fans will like this a lot...can't really put a label on it. Musically it has a lot of different styles. Good original sounds."
- Spontaneous Combustion #7
"...from the deviating chords of 'Mongrel Horde' and 'Down to the Inferno' to the classy transition from 'Passing Away' to 'Kublai Khan', they concentrate on blowing over brick walls. The epic proportions of 'Battle Hymn (The Centurian)' [sic], place the listener on a fog shroudded [sic], grassy hill, with the thunderous roar of an army on horseback growing louder, coming your way...see them live. Multiply the LP by one hundred."
