Artist History
- HiLo -
Rock, Pop, Punk, Blues, Jazz, Metal, etc. are just some of the music genres available to you the listener in today’s world. Only once in a lifetime (if at all) does it all come together in one band and these guys are it!
“HiLo” fuses all of the genres to create a style that is very much their own. Since their first jam/rehearsal it was very apparent that the chemistry between these guys was something most bands dream of.
Starting as a three piece but always holding onto the fact that a second guitarist was on the way, they left things very much open, so as not to crowd the music. This turned out to be one of their greatest assets.
Crunchy guitar riffs with the tones to match, melodic vocals and harmonies backed up by one of the most solid rhythm sections I’ve heard in a long time, give “HiLo” a fresh new sound that the music industry is thirsting for.
Although “HiLo” is a new Canadian rock band, the bands members are no strangers to the Canadian music scene. Harley B. (Bassist/Back-up Voc.) and Cory Lee (Drummer) have been performing together since 1991 in Edmonton based band Drool and have released 6 albums as well as tours to promote them all.
Attila (Guitarist/Back-up Voc.) and Mitchell (Guitarist/Vocals) have been performing together since 1991. First in Ft. McMurray based Brain Candy then again in Calgary based band Full-Out with 1 album recorded for each. Attila went on to perform with Ft. McMurray based band The Bobby Kool Trio while Mitchell went on to perform in Moncton, NB’s Tickletrunk which released an album in 1999 that has received a lot of response on the east coast. “HiLo”’s main goal right now is; Band Quote: “To focus on writing material that we’re all happy with and record as much as possible!” The band also has plans to release their debute Ep. (which was recorded at power Sound records) on July 25th at Seedy’s Bar located at 103-104 st. in Edmonton, AB. This will be a free show and is open to the public. So come on down and check out Canada’s own “HiLo”!!
