Biography NO NAME was born in Hammond, IN, a small town in Northwest Indiana dubbed Tha Region (which includes Hammond, Gary, and East Chicago) in 1974. His first exposure to Hip-Hop came in the 80’s when attending neighborhood block parties he saw cardboard break-dancing and B-boyz perfecting the latest dance. In the late 80’s influences like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, and Public Enemy started to strike up the gift of rhyme in him. Soon after, NO NAME took part in several under- ground groups. During the summer of 1990 crack cocaine had finally made it full circle in Hammond, and no family was spared the devastating effects the crack had on poor communities. “Looking back now you can see why rap has taken to violence, drugs, b****s, and bling, because for too many that was all they knew.” In 1995, NO NAME known then as “B-Hard” turned his attention to making his words part of hip-hop’s storied history. Along with a group of friends, B-Hard introduced his “Midwest Pimpin” and dropped “ From My Head to Yo! Head”, one of the hottest songs in the Midwest that year. Without any backing from a major label B-Hard went on to national exposure on performing on BET in 1996. The late 90’s would be a depressing time for this solo artist, partly due to the fact he didn’t have a major putting the necessary resources behind him. B-Hard was also caught at another crossroad in his career, one that would take nearly 3 1/2 years t figure out, purpose. Though there was no doubt he had the skills to become a legend, he needed to carve out his own niche to ever live up to that potential. The year 2000 brought in a new millennium fears of Y2K, later the attacks of 9/11, and now a World on the brink of World War III. B-Hard in the meanwhile practiced to fine tune his freestyle skills. Certain that he was finding his place in an ever-crowding industry he compiled nearly 5,000 minutes worth of freestyle material. To officially kick-off this new frame of mind the name B-Hard was dropped and replaced with the symbol NO NAME . NO NAME firmly believes that all-good things come ’N DUE TIME. The long awaited CD from NO NAME, “COME TAKE A JOURNEY THRU MY MIND.” 12 tracks of the most soulful lyrics placed over some of the hottest beats of the year. This debut project takes you on a journey. Similar to the conversations we all have about change, having a fair shot, and more importantly having a voice in this world. “Come Take A Journey Thru My Mind” is like medicine for the mind, body, and soul. At the same time, Hip-hop that is entertaining and skillfully put together. “As far as my lyrics, I feel the current times are a reflection of society and will cause music to change. So why not be one of the pioneers and help usher it in.” NO NAME spent over two years crafting his talent, not just to keep it real but to keep it truthful. The results are smash hitz like “YO! BROTHA” and the everyday common folk song “A Perfect World”. NO NAME calls this CD refreshing and much needed. “To me its like the conversations me and my partna’s have about life. Issues that never seems to get any public attention. For every negative word spoken, there’s positive words to learn from it. GROWTH WITHOUT CHANGE IS WASTED ENERGY.”
