Artist History David Garner is a freelance composer, whose body of work reflects his decades of musical training, historical knowledge, theatrical flair and humor. Garner has taught at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music since 1979, and is the recipient of the 1997 Sarlo Family Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching. Professor Garner teaches theory, musicianship, composition and solfege in the Conservatory's graduate and undergraduate divisions.
