Artist description
Rising country star, ARIKAHs redefines the term "diva" as the industry knows the term. Born in the USVI, this unique wonder has always allowed her heart to rind through her music with her hypnotic angelic voice and her energy pulsing through her audience, causing her listener to actually feel her emotions.
ARIKAHs' inspiration for her songwriting varies from Dolly Parton to Cindy Lauper, from Billy Joel to Mariah Carey, and has performed for Sydney Poitier, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Susan Sarandon. She continues to reinvent herself as an artist, beginning with first Motown-style performances, then fronting the LA-based alternative band, "Unico" (now "Tulip"), sketch comedy for a pilot in consideration for airing, "Big Boowie's House," and now beginning the country music industry creating a buzz and sought after as THE FIRST African-American FEMALE country singer.
ARIKAHs grew up in Northern Virginia and attended school in West Virginia majoring in Biology. It was here that her appreciation for country music blossomed, listening to classic favorites such as Brooks and Dunn, Reba MacIntyre, and of course, Charlie Pride. ARIKAHs will continue to be on the up and up as she markets her made-for-film musical, "A Fool's Melody".
