    Artist description
Matt Calder is a powerful, expressive and innovative musician. Matt began playing bass and singing for the band Beckonridge as a teenager. Since then Matt’s skills have exploded into his own musical compositions. One such amazing accomplishment is the invention of his Foot Drums. A self made construction of 15 real time digital foot pedals in which he plays while singing with guitar or bass and harmonica. Such rhythm and skill is mesmerizing to watch. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah – Matt is following in the footsteps of his father Doug Calder a talented folk singer in the 1960’s as the Calder-Vandongen duo. Matt brings powerful vocals with incredible range. His influences include Sting, Paul Simon and Dave Matthews.

    Press Reviews
“I've heard a lot of great music live but Matt Calder does everything by himself, He plays the drums with his feet while he plays the guitar while he sings his own backup while he plays the harmonica. He is the shock and awe of one-man bands." – Dave Johnson, BYUSA President.
