Artist History
With former members of "Shadowlawn" drummer Ryan Day and guitarist Neal Beery scrambling for replacements after Thomas Maxwell bailed and Ben Whitley went out of town for our very first show on July 5th, 2003, guitarist Ben Brinson and bassist David Page filled the roles as temporary replacements. We quickly came to the realization that this was a much better group of people to work with and created much better results. We created a brand-new 25-minute set in a matter of days and are ready to play the show in "Shadowlawn"'s place. "Cypress" was then created and seems to bring something fresh to the Indie-Rock scene. With influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Tom Petty to Yellowcard and Inspection 12, this melodic 4-piece is sure to go far in the Jacksonville rock scene. CYPRESS ROCKS HARD!!!

Press Reviews
1. Not a bad bunch of tracks...the vocals kind of had a Social D/Flogging Molly quality. - Mark, California*
2. I dunno if you've ever heard them, but the intro to "Fading Rapidly" definitely sounds like this band called Northstar on Triple Crown Records...The guitars really make this song. I like the arpeggio stuff a lot. The vocals are really good too. - Marty, Maryland*
3. Sounds like a hillbilly on crack. But i dig it!!! Kind of sounds like the old 97s. - Lou, Ohio*
4. Cypress rocks hard! - Mrs. Beery, Florida**
